Water Finding Paste

We can offer Water Finding Paste for detecting petroleum water interphase.

The Problem of water contamination in petroleum is widely prevalent during its manufacture, transport during storage.

It is necessary to investigate the presence of petroleum-water interphase not only to estimate the physical stock of the product but also to avoid the serious risk of the water being accidentally picked up and delivered with the product.

Our Water finding paste serves well the purpose of a water sensitive colour indicator on the dipping gadget to measure or detect the presence of water in the petroleum.  

Properties :

Hygroscopic, green or fawn coloured paste reacting with the water to give colour change to bright pink. It is totally unaffected by any petroleum fuel or solvent, and thus does not cause contamination of the petroleum products through which it may pass.

Method of detecting Water :

Ensure that the dipping gadget is free from traces of oil and water. Apply thin layer of paste on the surface 8- 10 cm on either side of the anticipated cutting line. Introduce gadget vertically into the tank till the coated end touches the tank bottom. Hold Steady for 15 / 20 seconds and remove gently. Observe for sharp pink demarcation.

Product Shelf life :

Minimum 18 Months from the date of supply, provided that the paste is stored away from the excessive humidity. Container cap must be wiped off after removing paste and firmly closed.

Packing :

Standard Packing : 100 gms Bottle.

Customized packing can be done as per specific requirement of customer.
